This painting was inspired by a group of dynamic professional women I have the privilege of knowing and being a part of for the past three years. Our group of seven is known as the “Roosters”…a moniker established after an email calling for the “roster” resulted in a typo (rooster). Seemed a fitting name and so we became the Roosters forever more.
The interesting thing about this painting is that it challenged me to learn a completely different watercolor technique. Have to admit…it was not an easy transition. Hopefully this painting will put a smile on your face as it does mine every time I gaze upon it in my kitchen.
